Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information. Effective October 20, 2026.

Who we are

First Class 8 Truck Sales LLC(“First Class 8,” “we,” “us”) is a used Class 8 truck dealership at 6442 Logan Ave Unit A, Belvidere, IL 61008. This policy covers our website, https://www.firstclass8trucks.com, and the ways you contact us through it and through social messaging.

What we collect

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, and the message you send, plus the truck you asked about if you came from a listing.
  • Financing application. The business, identity, and credit-related information you choose to submit so we can arrange financing with our lending partners.
  • Messages on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. When you message our business accounts, Meta Platforms delivers your public profile name, your platform user ID, the content of your messages, and any photos or files you send. We keep that conversation so our team can answer you and follow up.
  • Website usage. Standard server logs and, where enabled, analytics cookies that measure how the site is used. These do not identify you by name.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and follow up on trucks you are interested in.
  • To process a financing application you submit, with lenders you authorize.
  • To keep records of sales, inquiries, and conversations as a normal part of running the dealership.
  • To improve the website and our service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Automated replies

Messages sent to our Facebook Page, Instagram account, or WhatsApp number may receive an automated reply from an assistant that answers from our published business information and current inventory. Every automated conversation is visible to our team, and a person can step in at any time. If you would rather speak with someone, say so in the conversation or call (815) 315-0405. The assistant is not allowed to collect Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or other financial information in chat; use the secure financing application for that.

Who we share it with

  • Lenders, when you submit a financing application and authorize us to share it.
  • Service providers that run our website and messaging: web hosting (Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase), messaging delivery (Meta Platforms), automated-reply processing (Anthropic), and email delivery (Resend). Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and conversations are kept while they are useful for serving you and running the business. Financing and sales records are kept as long as lending, tax, and record-keeping rules require. Raw message-delivery logs are kept for 30 days.

Requesting deletion of your data

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, including conversations from Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

  1. Email sales@firstclass8trucks.com with the subject line Data deletion request.
  2. Tell us the name, phone number, email address, or Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp account you used so we can find your records.
  3. We will confirm your request and delete the information within 30 days, except for records we are required by law to keep, such as completed sales and financing documents.

You can also remove our business from your Meta account’s connected activity at any time through your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Security

Our website and admin tools use encrypted connections, access controls, and two-factor authentication for staff. Financing applications are stored in private, access-restricted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or messaging channels after a change means you accept the updated policy.
